"You Can't Play Golf With a Hammer, But You Can Build a House with a Golf Club!"

For the past 11 years, SIHH has hosted a Golf Tournament. This year is no exception. The difference is that this year, I'm the lead staff member assigned to this event! Big responsibility and big trust, I feel.

There has definately been a huge learning curve for me along the way & I am so thankful for my patient & involved boss, Kimberly & my incredible Golf Chairman, Bailey Schell. You want to put on a stellar tournament? You get him on the job - but NO! You can't have him...he's mine! :)

I'm really excited to see all the work come to life on June 3; it should be a blast! We have such a loyal group of supporters that come out every year to play in this...so far we have about 70 golfers but we're hoping to get that number to about 100. (so if you or someone you know wants to play the private Cassique Golf Course on Kiawah Island - there's still a chance!)
The other exciting thing is that it is just one week after the Sr. PGA Championship that's also on Kiawah Island. So we should get lots of attention during this time, hopefully increasing awareness of Habitat for Humanity and it's mission!

See ya then!

New Office = Space!

For those of you that have been following this blog, you might remember me mentioning that in our old office, my desk was in the hallway. As you see in this picture, I now have a whole cubicle to myself...complete with file drawers and an electric blue desk. Yes, we have a new office, but we're still Habitat so we went with the cheapest desk furniture, thus that radiant color! :) I joke that I'll never get sleepy at work b/c my desk will keep me awake. I really do love it, though!

The bottom picture is an outside view of our new office and restored chapel.

Thanks for all your prayers and support.
