Hard Work!

This is a picture of our "office dog," Jake. He works so hard like the rest of us, here he is just tuckered out. He even sent an email to our boss, Chuck, stating that he needed a raise to match his level of effort!

Electric Chair Races?

If you ever dreamed of going pro in the electric chair race world...here's your chance! Haha! We just had 3 electric chairs donated to our ReStore on Johns Island and with them all lined up side-by-side, racing them was the first thing that came to my mind! ...You just never know what will be donated to the ReStore! :)

What's that smell?

So every now & then, the not-so-pleasant happens. Two days ago, everyone started asking..."What's that smell?" And it wasn't inferring a pleasing aroma by any means! As part of our office complex, we have a small chapel that sits up off the ground. (Here in the "Lowcountry" buildings usually have to be built up b/c the ground gets so saturated & floods easily.) The space between the floor of the chapel & the ground is decorated with lattice work. Mind you, the chapel was built in the 1930s & that lattice work isn't exactly secure.

Well, after a call to "Critter Control," our noses were right...an animal had crawled under there and died. From all us staff at Sea Island Habitat...Rest In Peace, little guy...though we're glad you're not resting here anymore! :)
