September 9th marked an historic day for Sea Island Habitat and its partner affiliate in Nkwantakese, Ghana. President Kuffor visited the rural village and took part in a dedication ceremony of the town's Information Communication Technology Institute and Library, which Sea Island Habitat for Humanity volunteers helped to build in 2004. The event was covered by both national TV and radio stations throughout Ghana. George of the Nkwantakese affiliate said that "[Sea Island Habitat] was praised and congratulated throughout the country." Thanks so much to all our volunteers and supporters who helped to build this great library for the village children. It has served as a great community and learning center for all the town's children and adults.
