Fall Festival

As the leaves changed colors in South Carolina, Sea Island Habitat for Humanity celebrated the season by hosing a Fall Festival. The Fall Festival was held at the SIHH office on Saturday, November 20, 2010 and included activities such as; a Jump Castles, potato sack relay race, cupcake walk, corn hold, ladder toss, tug-of-war, frisebee golf, face painting, bubbles, and snacks. The Fall Festival was an extremely low cost event for Habitat thanks to generous donors including: Charleston Jump Castle, Piggly Wiggly, Johns Island Baptist Youth Group, volunteers, and homeowners. Thanks to our extraordinary donors and volunteers the Fall Festival was FREE for all attendees.

As the Jump Castle went up and the volunteers arrived at the office, the Fall Festival began to take shape. Homeowners from Habitat Boulevard, Taylor Place, Island Estates, and Brownswood Place came to the SIHH office to celebrate fall and participate in the games and activities. Both the SIHH staff and volunteers were very pleased that over 70 homeowners attended the Festival. A big THANK YOU goes out to all the volunteers who helped with the Fall Festival and made the event such a success.

Below are a few pictures from the Fall Festival.
