Sea Island Habitat for Humanity staff, volunteers, and homeowners welcomed Santa Clause to the Habitat office on December 16, 2010 for the 2nd annual SIHH Community Christmas Party. Over 100 children ranging in age from 1-12 years old came to the party. Every child who attended that party received a scarf, pair of gloves, and a gift. The scarves and gloves were donated by Charlotte Moran and Donna Reyburn, and the toys were donated by the students of Porter-Gaud and members of Bishop Gadsden. SIHH was also able to give away 15 Christmas trees to homeowners at the Christmas Party. The Christmas trees were donated by The Palmetto Project who had a few trees left over from their Families Helping Families project in December. Sea Island Habitat for Humanity is very grateful for all the support from volunteers and the individuals who donated to this year's Community Christmas Party. Habitat's mission is to help families move into safe, decent and affordable shelter and events such as the Community Christmas Party are helping us go above and beyond our mission. We are very lucky to be in a position to give back to such a wonderful community and are very grateful for everyone’s support.
