MLK DAY BUILD 2009
Thanks to our dedicated volunteers and staff, our 6th annual MLK Day Build was a great success. Mayor Heyward kicked-off the day with a speech on the construction site, and volunteers worked throughout today to frame the house! Homeowners Cynthia and Willie Richardson were there along with AmeriCorps volunteers from all across the state. Thanks again to all our partners (Applebees, Star 99.7, Harris Teeter, AmeriCorps, etc.) for making this event so great! Check out the story that LIVE 5 News ran on the build...
